Dakota Frost is a tattoo artist, not the normal one hers are magical she is also a Skindancer. She tattoed herself and her body tats move on her. Dakota is asked by her Uncle Rand to help find a serial killer who is killing magical tattoo artists and stealing tats some before the person is dead. Dakota gets many clients one is a werewolf named Wulf who wants a spell tat that will help him control his Wolf at the time of the full moon. Its a Nazi symbol so Dakota wants it checked out because it may be harmful to him. She is very careful about her art. Wulf has a lot of mystery about himself and this causes him to be a suspect when people start to die. Dakota also ends up with a challenge from a wizard who she admires . She goes to many lengths to help find the serial killer before he kills others or herself. Dakota also seeks protection from Vampires but they can only do so much . Her friends and herself end up in danger and a surprise person ends up saving her in the end. She does manage to defeat the serial killer with her magic even though he might be working for someone else. She meets a weretiger she saves and ends up adopting her. Seems like things are happy in the end.
This story was really good . I enjoyed it from beginning to end. Knowing it was fantasy the way it was written I could actually see the tats flying around the room. It had all the things I enjoy in a story. Took me until Chapter 41 to figure out who the killer was but I like a good mystery. I kept wondering why Frost Moon? Thanks so much for explaining that. I will definitely look forward to more . I hear there may be a lot more I can't wait.

The Evil Inside by Heather Graham

Returning home finds Sam Hall in the middle of Haunted Happenings . He finds a young man Malachi drenched in blood. Malachi is accused of murdering his family. Not only them but naybe two other members of the town. He lives in Lexington House which has a past prior two owners have been killers ,killing their families. The town is full of tourists they love this time of year and the fact that witches and other religions are practiced there. Malachi has a firm supporter in Jamie who asks his niece to assist Sam on the case . Which being a lawyer he agrees to take after meeting the boy . The three believe he didn't do it. Jenna the niece is an FBI agent for the paranormal and brings in her team to help. The town people just want Malachi locked up but there lies another secret of some sort. Jenna has a talent to hear ghosts and see the past.
During the investigation Sam and Jenna are drawn to each other and become lovers. Among all the towns beliefs and the Halloween things going on things start to unfold. Since Sam's family was from the town he knew the Sheriff and was able to access some help. Jenna also knew people she went to school with but what really helped them was not the living in the end it all worked out well.
The story gave us some background but not enough to make it boring I liked that. Gave enough suspects and reasons to chose them and try to figure out on your own. Made you think Sam was going to be the one to figure out who the killer was yet Jenna did also. But the twist was there were two killers. Kept my attention through the whole story I enjoyed it from the beginning to end. Plus the recipes at the end were really nice. Thanks.
