The Emperor's Arrow by Lauren D.M.Smith

Love having only one job during he summer I get to read a book a day. Yesterday's book was The Emperor's Arrow . Written by Lauren D.M.Smith the winner of Harlequin's So you think you can write 2015. Yeah she can write. I loved the cover , was so happy it was not The Bachelor type story . There was competition so the Ruler Galen could choose himself a bride .Some female (cat fighting) nothing physical . Plots yes to overthrow the Ruler Galen so of course you get a little bit of everything.
It was a pleasure to read . Yes gave it 5 crows . Off to search for another see what I can get in before work. Don't forget to read often even if its just a few lines.

Cecile had her life planned her dreams were about to come true . She was to go live with her mother and sing on stage. Being careless she

gets kidnapped by Luc and sold to a Troll king. The king thinks that her being a human and bonding with his son they will break an ancient

curse . A witch put a curse on them never to leave the underground to live in a a life of darkness . Cecile manages to have a choice to

leave or stay and try to break the curse . She falls in love not only with Tristian the prince she is bonded to but with the half blood

trolls that are fighting so hard to be free from the king and the curse.

At first I thought this book is going to be boring . Was I surprised? Yes . To find out how I was hurrying to get things done so I could

find out what would happen next . At times the Twins made me laugh. I can't wait to find out if the story continues it is really good.

Can love save them from the rabids ? Will time run out ? If you haven't read The Immortal Rules which is where it all begins or the Eternity Cure start there . Hollowland by Amanda Hocking

I started reading this as something to put me to sleep. Thank goodness I had a snow day. This was the first book in a while to keep me awake

with fascination and anxiety . I could just see the whole scene on my bedroom wall playing out as I read it. I felt desperate to escape and

just as creepy as Remy to get out of Korechs underground cult like ranch compound. I know the Walking Dead is popular right now and I've

read plenty books close to this subject but Hollowland is really nerve wrenching. Only 46 percent into the book I believe Remy's brother

is the cure . So glad I see this as a #1 so sorry now to have put other books by Amanda Hocking on the back burner.
A wonderful Read what an ending! Giving it 5 crows feet.

Tempted by Her Innocent Kiss by Maya Banks

Devon thought he could pull off a business merger and have a wonderful life all he had to do was get the big associates daughter to fall in love with him and say yes to his proposal of marriage.  To him love didn't' matter . Ashley would never know she was part of the deal his friend Cam tried to warn him but he refused to listen. Ashley was crazy about him. Little did Devon know he was crazy about her to. He didn't realize it until she walked out on him .She found out about the fathers plans her then her best friend tells Devon about the baby he knows he loves her and wants a family with her and its going to take some work to get her back .

I wonder if there are arranged marriages these days just for business sake. Ashley had no idea though she was extremley hurt that Devon thought her to be so needy and giddy so irresponsible. She tried to make the marriage work by changing herself, cooking , and arranging things she thought would make Devon love her. What they both didn't know is that he loved her just the way she was and by her changing it took her spirit away. You shouldn't have to change completely for the person learning to cook is fine but don't ever let anyone take your smile.

Emily wanted only one thing to show her family that she could be as good as her relatives. Chasing vamps is what they always did to save the

humans and keep it secret. Since her father died ,her mother has been over protective and wants Emily to live a normal life but all Emily

knows is fighting. Along with her childhood human friend who learns of their family secret after he realizes he is in love with her the

I enjoyed reading Rival, it was fast paced and teaches you to go after what you want and believe in.

The Tyrant's Daughter by J.C Carleson

Laila was a teenager that had to deal with adult situations. She was brought to America to escape her homeland where it was in turmoil .  She not only had to adapt to American ways but learn of the things her father did because he was a ruler in their country. Some americans don't understand ho things can be in other lands . All we know are good, happy times . Home of the free.

I enjoyed reading about this families life it brings you to realize all life is not happy fun and free. Much goes on we never see or hear about and I guess until it touches us we can be happy every day .  Thank you America and those giving up their lives so I can be free.
